Tennis in Oxford is a joint programme between Parks Tennis CIC, Oxford City Council and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). Our aim is to make tennis accessible and affordable for everyone in the city, while maintaining clean and safe court surfaces and facilities.
This has led to two innovative initiatives for the city: We provide subsidised tennis court access and LTA-qualified tennis coaching for any age and ability at the tennis courts in most of Oxford's public parks.
We've already seen thousands of players pick up a racket and join us on court, and we hope to introduce many more people to a sport we love as the programme keeps expanding! If you haven't had a go yet, why not come to a beginner coaching session to meet our friendly coaches - you'd be surprised how much you can learn in just one hour!
All coaches on the Tennis in Oxford programme are DBS-checked, LTA-qualified, selected for their teaching ability and of course, very friendly! Parks Tennis CIC works with Premier Tennis to identify and train talented tennis coaches who can work with any ability, from complete beginner to performance standard.
You can read the Oxford team's coaching biographies on the Parks Tennis website.
Parks Tennis CIC are available by phone or email, and are always happy to receive any questions, comments or concerns you may have. Even if you're just having trouble using the Parks Tennis online booking service, give them a call on 01865 689754 and they'll be happy to help you through it or book your court/coaching session over the phone.
